About D-Jay Chuck
Siphiwe Masina, better known as Chuck, specializes in house/dance music. He was born in Midrand and started his DJ career at a very young age, when he was still in primary school. Once he had entered Secondary school, his career started to kick off, as he started to do school functions which required sound and a DJ. Chuck was introduced to the Technics DJMIXCLUB, and with the help of Jayson Faber, started doing his own small event at place such as Whozoo, which is now known as Shoosh, back thenit was situated at Fourways. After leaving school he then teamed up with a friend and started doing house parties, birthday
parties, etc. Chuck has hosted many parties in his neighborhood and is happy to have the support from everyone, friends and family. Late 2010, Chuck meet up with a promoter named Seedy who gave him the opportunity to be a resident DJ at “Encore Fridays” at Capital Cafe Rosebank, where he has been lucky to share the decks with Andy X(Channel O), DJ Bongs, Nono, Nick Holder, Denz Devarez and many more. Since then he’s been in the lime light and has played at some of Jozi’s hottest venues such as Shoosh, Newscafe, Cappello’s, just to name a few. In 2011 D’Jay Chuck was lucky to one the 5 finalist on Yfm DJ Apprentice competition hosted by DJ Warris and Cash Crusaders. Currently D'Jay Chuck works for a mobile disco company and has been mentored into a strong corporate function DJ who can cater for a mixed audience. Covering everything from local
African music both new and old, all the way through to the old and new international top 40 hits.
